When your child turns 18, they're legally considered an adult. While that's an exciting milestone, it also means you may no longer be able to access their medical records, assist with financial matters, or make emergency decisions on their behalf without the proper legal documents.

Whether your child is heading off to college, starting a new job, or simply becoming more independent, having these documents in place can provide peace of mind for the whole family.

Join Starsia Law and Ballston Community Public Library for this free educational workshop to learn:

• Why these documents become important once your child turns 18

• How these documents can help protect your family during unexpected situations

• How to create and complete these documents properly

Following the workshop, attendees will have the opportunity to have their documents properly signed, witnessed, and notarized.

Please Note: Both the young adult and a parent must be present to complete the documents during the workshop.
